Staybrite (Anodised Aluminium) Regimental Cap Badge List
Otherwise known as Staybrite, (alternative spellings Sta-Brite or
Staybright). We abbreviate Anodised Aluminium to A/A on our lists.
Anodising is an Electro-plating process resulting in lightweight shiny
badge. The main colours used are gold, silver and black.
Staybrite replaced brass and white metal as the main metal for British Other
Ranks military insignia from about 1950 onwards. Given that King George VI
died in 1952, it stands to reason that King's Crown Staybrite insignia is quite
rare (We abbreviate this to KC on my lists). This sales inventory
deals with staybrite cap badges.
This is an extract of our Master Militaria Catalogue
dealing with Staybrite Military Cap badges, hat and helmet insignia. Police
and Fire and Rescue cap badges have been moved to
separate pages.

Badges of the British Army - Volume 2 - From the end of the Great War to the
Present Day. ISBN 0584109482: Muller, Blond & White Ltd.
An excellent book with black and white photographs of many cap badges. Each
badge is numbered and the numbers are used by dealers and collectors as the
'industry-standard' to refer to cap badges. If you are going to buy cap badges
by mail order, then you need this book.
Prices are in British Pounds Sterling and you may order
online or order by mail.

The first 6 figures of each line is our Stock Serial Number - use this when ordering. Where applicable, the next set of figures is a reference to
standard insignia reference books.
