PayPal Solutions Page
You have probably been directed to this page because you tried to pay us via
PayPal and have encountered a problem. Typical problems are:
- You tried to send payment from
your PayPal account but were re-directed to this page.
- I used the link on your
e-mail but PayPal keeps sending me back to this page.
- PayPal only seems to work in
US Dollars but Ian Kelly (Militaria) does not accept US Dollar payments.
- PayPal Invoice not received.
- I have forgotten my PayPal
password.
- We have configured PayPal so that it only accepts payments that we
request. This is for several reasons:
- to prevent customers trying to pay for items that are no longer available.
- to ensure that postage costs are correctly calculated.
- to ensure that we are paid in British Pounds and that any currency
conversion costs are calculated correctly (we have blocked payments in all
other currencies - see below for
how to pay in British Pounds)
- SOLUTION: wait for us to send you a PayPal invoice via
e-mail. Follow the instructions in that e-mail.
In particular, close your web browser software, before using the web link in
our e-mail in order to re-open your web browser at the PayPal password page.
- If you have followed the payment link on the e-mail that we sent you, but
PayPal keeps sending you back to this page, it might be because the e-mail
address that you used to order from us is not registered on your PayPal
account.
- SOLUTION: You can register several e-mail address on your PayPal account.
- Log into
your PayPal account via your web browser
www.paypal.co.uk (not via the e-mail that we sent you).
- Click the Profile tab.
- Look under the 'Account Information' heading for the 'Email' hyperlink,
click on the word 'Email' and follow the instructions on the following page to
add the e-mail address that you used on our order form.
- Log out of PayPal and close your web browser.
- Go back to the payment request e-mail that we sent you. Use the link
in that e-mail to log back into PayPal and follow the instructions for
payment.
If PayPal only gives you the option of paying in US Dollars, the usual reason
is that you have already logged-into PayPal via your web browser and then tried to send us money.
Solution:
- Log-out of PayPal and close your web browser.
- Go back to the PayPal invoice that I sent you by e-mail and either click
the PAYMENT button in that e-mail, or copy and paste the invoice URL (web
address) into your web browser. This should allow you to pay in British
Pounds. If you have used a credit card, your bank will do the currency
conversion for you and the amount will be deducted from your bank / credit
card account in your own currency.
If you have not received a PayPal invoice from us, it means that we have not
received an order from you using our
(or we have not yet had time to deal with your order). If
you have not used our
online order form, please do so, and await our PayPal invoice.
If you
HAVE used our online order form and it is over a week since you did so, please
contact us via this link.
For security reasons, we do not have access to your PayPal password.
Log into your PayPal account via your web browser
www.paypal.co.uk and ask PayPal to re-set
your password or to send you a reminder of what your password is.
If if still doesn't work...
If you still have problems using PayPal, please send payment by snail-mail as
explained on our
payment page or
to explain the PayPal payment problem.
